Welcome to the site of the Department of Acting Amsterdam.

The Department of Acting was created by Debbie Mulholland and Emma Dingwall who set up intense high-level acting courses taught in English based on the ideas, ideals and workings of their own theatre background and experience. The DAA soon became an all round professional organization attracting students from all corners of the world.

The Department of Acting runs two acting & drama courses each year. One takes place in spring running from February to May and one in autumn from September to December.

In addition to our bi-annual ten-week drama workshops, the Department of Acting is proud to present the new DAA Mulholland Acting and Film Academy, an Initiative of the DAA’s founder Debby Mulholland.

In addition the DAA offers corporate workshops tailor made to suit the needs of organizations and companies.
